Not sure how to use myofascial tools to release tension and stress in muscle tissue and interested in gentle stretching? Join Amy for this special class where we will explore myofascial release techniques with a variety of different props: tennis balls, “core”ageous balls for back and abdominal work, yoga straps and blocks. We have all of these props in our studio for you to use. Class will be offered virtually as well with a recording available if you register.
Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse with Loren
Kickoff Sunday, April 6, 3-4:15pm,
Cleanse runs April 6-13, $150 early bird/$175 after 3/21
According to Ayurveda, India's holistic health system, overall health depends on a delicate balance between mind, body, spirit, and environment. A key preventative health routine is to follow a cleanse program at the seasonal junctures between winter-spring and then summer-fall. As changes occur in the natural environment, a week or so is taken for a special diet and nurturing routines to restore balance in mind and body. Spring is Kapha season; the paired energies of the earth and water elements are at work! As earth softens and ice melts, Kapha accumulates and can manifest as feeling heavy, sluggish, and congested. It's time to lighten up! Cleansing aids the natural process of clearing excess Kapha, revives digestion, and both grounds and brightens the mind/body.
Loren Winters, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, will guide you step by step through a time-tested 10-day plan. Also, doing a cleanse with others in the community makes cleanse time a more motivating and fun experience for all!
Recordings of these meetings will be made available to all participants.

Asana Evolution: A Deep Dive into Modern Yoga
NEXT CLASS - Sunday, April 13, 2:30-4:30pm
Demystifying Arm Balances and Inversions
Just like everything, aspects of yoga evolve. New ways at looking at anatomy emerge which affects the teaching of sequencing and alignment. We try to stay in the thick of all these yoga conversations. In this eight-month series, Ramsay, Liz and Ben will dive deep into different practices and teaching techniques. With a deep appreciation for the classical poses, we will focus on exploring modern variations to discuss and feel their different benefits. As teachers, we believe that cultivating movement literacy is crucial, developing an understanding of why we practice certain variations of poses based on our individual anatomy. How we move matters. Equally important as teachers and serious students is understanding “the why” behind “the how”. This is crucial to maximizing the benefits and increasing the longevity of your practice.
This series of classes is for you if.... #1 a yoga teacher craving more knowledge since your last YTT (yoga teaching training)? #2 a student who is thinking about a YTT but not quite ready to commit to that kind of money and time? #3 a student who never wants to be a teacher but loves the practice and wants to learn more?
